“How often have you wondered what your spouse is really thinking? Or your boss? Or the guy sitting across from you on the bus? We all take as a given that we’ll never really know for sure. The content of our thoughts is our own – private, secret, and unknowable by anyone else. Until now, that is.”
– Lesley Stahl, 60 Minutes
Justice Is Mind was inspired from this 60 Minutes story in 2009 that discussed ‘thought identification’ through an FMRI (Functional MRI) procedure in which a machine can identify objects the human mind ‘is thinking of’. Justice Is Mind takes this procedure and advances the process to the year 2026 when FVMRI (Functional Video MRI) has just come to market and can read long term memory in video form. The video to the right is from the post screening panel following the world premiere of Justice Is Mind on August 18, 2013.
